And it’s Bigger and Brighter Than Ever!

It’s finally here, Montecito’s moment for ultimate holiday cheer! Ring a jingle bell? The Montecito Association and the holiday powers that be are throwing the 4th Annual Holiday Magic Car Parade on Saturday, December 14th! And our sleigh bell sources tell us that this year will be even bigger and brighter than ever before! More vehicles, more lights, and more sights to see. Can we get a yuletide yippee? The parade is set to start around 4:30-5:00pm so get to scoping out your spots early.

The community is also encouraged to come to the Upper Village between 3:00p-5:00pm for a special Sip & Shop. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy some seasonal sipping, strolling, and local shopping before an enchanting car extravaganza? And as the marshmallow on top, Miramar is supplying the hot cocoa and cookies while Maitland Ward will provide live music to add that extra pep in your step as you peruse the shops for your holiday gifts. What a cheerful way to support local business!

Then as 4:30-5:00pm rolls around, the big event will begin! Enjoy the sights as cars covered in festive twinkly lights stroll pleasantly by. Geek out on vintage cars and the beautifully restored 1937 Fire Truck, which will be hauling the holly jolly Hands Across Montecito team, along with our heroic Montecito Firefighters and Search and Rescue crew. The merry Montecito Union and Cold Spring Schools will also be partaking in the yearly pageantry.

You might even catch a special parade appearance by Roy Lee and Laura Capps! Speaking of caps… You have your Santa hats ready, right? And speaking of Santa, we have on good elf authority that the Big Man himself will be making an appearance. Rudolf is still up in the air.

Come support a magical local community tradition, lovingly put on by the Montecito Association and the Holiday Car Parade Committee: Houghton Hyatt, Megan Orloff, Mindy Denson, Dana & Andrea Newquist. Get cozy, embrace the sweater weather, sip hot chocolate, and be dazzled by the joyous community celebration. With that… Lights, Santa, Action!

Keep up with other holiday events put on by the Montecito Association here!

The Montecito Association would also like to thank their generous sponsors:
