Montecito Musician Something to Harp About
Montecito resident Christine Holvick, has had a distinguished career as a professional harpist. She was first harpist with the Pacific Philharmonic and is a member of the Sierra Ensemble Chamber Quintet. A graduate of UOP Conservatory of Music, she also holds a masters in music in jazz studies from USC. A regular performer some years back at both the prestigious San Francisco Hyatt Regency and Saint Francis Hotel in Union Square, Christine now also serves as an adjunct music professor at Westmont.
I am delighted to tell you that the Santa Barbara Chapter of the American Harp Society is sponsoring Ms Holvick in a special concert Saturday May 24, at 8 pm at the Unitarian Society. Her program will feature both classical and jazz works, which will demonstrate her technical craft and broad range of musicianship. She will be accompanied by bass, flute and drums.
