Suspect Arrested for Forging Prescription
Wednesday, February 7 – County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 20-year-old male for forging a doctor’s medical prescription. The suspect is charged for changing the prescription number from 7 to 17 tablets of Ativan, a form of Xanax that is given to patients for anxiety. The suspect was also found with a prescription bottle containing marijuana and three Xanax pills, in addition to several empty prescription bottles.
Deputies discovered the boy after a pharmacist at Longs Drugs, on Coast Village Road, called the suspect’s doctor suspicious about the prescription.

The suspect said she had jumped her grandmother’s fence on Loureyro Road, adjacent to the victim’s property, and entered the premises.
Deputy Gamboa said the suspect’s speech was erratic and her pupils constricted. The suspect told the deputy she had snorted two lines of methamphetamines at her home in Oakland three days prior to the incident. A field urine sample tested positive for amphetamines and methamphetamines.
The resident’s friend, a 23-year-old woman, said she saw the suspect on the victim’s porch putting items into three bags. The woman had apparently taken the bags from the storage shed.
