Stella McCartney Trunk Show at Dressed/Ready
Despite the slurry fest on Coast Village Road, Susan Pitcher and her staff ‘went on with the show,’ as in trunk show, on Tuesday Sept 25 at Dressed and Ready boutiques featuring the latest silhouettes and stylings of avant-garde fashion designer Stella McCartney (daughter of Sir Paul and Linda) and her “environmentally active” clothing, shoes, accessories and fragrances. Mrs. Pitcher, who also donated a portion of the day’s sales to the Community Environmental Council, aligns herself philosophically with animal rights activist Ms McCartney’s philosophical view.
In conjunction with the ‘green theme day,’ Ready featured several new “green” t-shirt lines that employ eco friendly fabrics and methods of manufacturing. Linda Loudermilk champions the use of bamboo, soya blends, sea cell, and other self-sustaining plants for her separates, while manufacturer Majestic and Panda Snack’s organic cotton and bamboo tees and tanks are perfect for layering under this season’s cornucopia of interesting knits.
Customers that stopped by during the day were treated to local organic foods created and catered by Kim Shiffer, and wine from Alma Rosa and Beckmen Vineyards.
Dressed/Ready (805-565-1253) is located at 1253 Coast Village Road
