Look at those trusting eyes! Those attentive ears! That silky fur! By looking at Vanity, you might think that she has always lived a pampered life, but just a few months ago, this 3-year-old brown tabby was homeless and pregnant. Then her luck changed; she came to ResqCats, where she gave birth to her kittens in a peaceful, safe environment.

Vanity and her family are now showered with good food, soft beds and oodles of love. Still, Vanity yearns for a home to call her own. She has a gentle nature and would be happiest in a quiet home where she can cuddle up on her guardian's lap. The lucky adopters of this sweet cat will receive a gift basket filled with food, toys and bedding courtesy of ResqCats’ “A Home at Last” program.

If you are considering adopting two cats, Vanity would love to go home with her son "Promise." Vanity and Promise, as well as all the cats and kittens at the sanctuary, have had a full veterinary exam and have been vaccinated, wormed, spayed or neutered, and tested for leukemia.

About ResqCats

Established in 1997, ResqCats is a nonprofit sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of abandoned cats and kittens in Santa Barbara. This unique facility consists of a large building divided into communal areas, isolation areas, special enclosures and large outdoor "playgrounds." ResqCats is truly the cat's meow!

Volunteers Needed

ResqCats is always looking for dedicated animal lovers to assist with socializing cats and kittens, fostering, cleaning, administering medication and public relations. Through dedication, patience and genuine love, volunteers are able to transform many anxious cats and kittens into playful, trusting and – dare I say? – "purr-fect" family members. If you are interested in volunteering at ResqCats, please call 805-563-9424.
