Adopt A Pet
By Karen Lee Stevens
Meet Green-Eyed Sassy
Green-eyed, gray-furred, gorgeous and gentle Sassy is a real head-turner. This petite, senior feline recently gave birth to her last batch of kittens (at 10 years of age!). Now that she's spayed (thanks to ASAP), sweet Sassy is looking for a quiet home where she can adorn the furniture and adore her adopter. Sassy will make a devoted pet and companion.
Sassy is available for adoption from the Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP), a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that cares for the cats and kittens at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter. The facility is located at 5473 Overpass Road, off Patterson Avenue. They can be reached by telephone at 683-3368.

Kitten Fosters Needed
Kitten season is here and ASAP has an immediate need for foster homes for kittens too young to remain at the shelter. For more information, please leave a message for Kim Snyder, ASAP Volunteer Coordinator, at 681-4397 or send her an email at email@example.com.
If you are unable to be a foster mom (or dad!), ASAP is also looking for volunteers to care for the cats at the shelter a few hours each week. Training classes are from 9 am to 11 am on Saturdays by appointment. Again, please contact Kim Snyder at 681-4397 for more information.
2 For 1 Special
From now through the end of the year, ASAP is offering two cats (over the age of 6 months) for the price of one (only $55). Twice the love, twice the fun! Stop by today to pick out a pair of cuddly cats.
