Peabody’s has live music every Sunday featuring The Legrand Trio. Trio plays and sings to American jazz and popular music from the 1920s and ’30s.

Casa Del Herrero
Casa Del Herrero opens its doors for the summer with tours open to the public. The 1925 George Washington Smith home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is furnished in 19th-century Spanish antiques.

Divine Inspiration Gallery of Fine Art
Divine Inspiration Gallery of Fine Art showcases “Ocean Inspirations,” a collection of art from well-known local painters with works of our coast. Artist reception is held on June 9 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club is back into swing of things as 2007 polo season gets underway. Late spring session – which lasts through late June – brings matches featuring teams rated at 8-12 goals. Matches scheduled every Friday and Sunday at 1 pm and 3 pm.

MUSIC ACADEMY OF THE WEST
Masterclasses are featured on a multitude of instruments ranging from horns to bassoons and also vocals. Through a technique the Academy calls “learning through performance”, audience members can watch as students perform on stage and are subsequently critiqued by a teacher.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, The Music Academy of the West features composer and conductor John Williams and performer Gil Shaham on violin; also accompanied by the Academy Festival Orchestra. Musical performances include selections from Williams’ film scores, violin concerto, and Shostakovich's Festive Overture, op. 96.

This semi-annual meeting is held by representatives of the Montecito Homeowners Associations. Topic of the event is the pending construction on Highway 101 and other issues currently affecting the community. It is open to the general public.

Girls Inc. Golf Tournament
The program hosts its 28th annual tournament to raise scholarship funds for young girls. Funds generated help pay for educational after-school and summer programs at Girls Inc. Eighteen-hole tournament opens by a shotgun start, followed by an awards ceremony and light buffet.

Academy Festival Orchestra
Led by guest conductor David Robertson, music director of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and performer Orli Shaham on Piano, the Academy Festival Orchestra, perform John Adams' "Century Rolls" and Carl Nielsen's Symphony No. 5, op. 50.

Village Fourth Parade
Starting at Upper Manning Park, the 12th annual Village Forth parade is a celebration of patriotism, community, and fun. The festivities continue, following the parade, at Lower Manning Park. Food by Santa Barbara Barbecue, music by Dixieland, and other activities are available. Those interested in participating in the parade must call in by July 1
