Polo Season Begins
Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club gets back into swing of things as 2007 polo season gets underway. Late spring session – which last through late June – brings matches featuring teams rated at 8-12 goals. The two-week Lisle Nixon Memorial tournament finishes this weekend, with matches scheduled every Friday and Sunday at 1 pm and 3 pm.

State Street Ballet Luncheon
State Street Ballet Guild hosts eighth annual Spring Luncheon honoring Ann Marie De Angelo, former principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet. De Angelo, who founded her own experimental troupe in the late ’80s called Ballet D’Angelo, has created nearly 50 works including “The Bell Witch,” performed by The Nashville Ballet and nominated for a “Benois de la Danse” Award.
