Meet Fred and Ginger

While Valentine's Day is a distant memory, these lovable rabbits would like to remind you that, "You’re no bunny ‘til some bunny loves you!”

Fred and Ginger are bonded and would like to be adopted together. Ginger, an Angora, adores having her long locks groomed, while Fred snuggles close and admires her beauty. They are both altered and use their litter box.

If you’re interested in learning more about this elegant pair, dance over to the Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter, or BUNS. The facility is located at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter at 5473 Overpass Road (off Patterson Avenue) and can be reached at 683-0521. Brownies and BUNS

The 15 young girls of Montecito’s Girl Scout Brownie Troop 270, lead by Michelle Kelly and Lynda Schwartz, will be donating a portion of their Girl Scout Cookie Sale profits to BUNS. The first-graders' keen interest in animals, coupled with an upcoming visit to BUNS in March, inspired the girls to donate to this local animal organization. The troop includes: Lauren Cordero, Nicole Figuero, Grace Giordano, Brynna Hodosy, Cassandra Hughes, Sophie Jahadhmy, Clare Kelly, Elke Lintukorpi, Zoe Padilla, Mia Robles, Kaelyn Schlegel-Smith, Chloe Schwartz, Kristin Trent, Isabella Venable and Cory Williams.

When asked what the contribution means to BUNS, Jean Silva, a volunteer and rabbit trainer, said: “We are very grateful to all the girls. We appreciate their donation, but most of all, we appreciate the concern of young people for rabbits.”
