Suspicious Circumstances at Park Lane West Home
Tuesday, November 21 – A 54-year-old woman reported suspicious circumstances at her Park Lane West home.
The woman said the door on the southeast side of her home was open approximately 10 inches and that she had locked all of her doors the night prior to the incident. Her nephew, who had been staying in that room, was out of town at the time.
The woman reported nothing missing from the room. Deputy Green said he saw no marks on the door suggesting a break-in and found the rubber seal on the door jam intact. He found no marks of a forced entry.
Burglar Removes Cash From Summerland Store
Sunday, November 26 – An unknown burglar stole $9 from a donation box from a business on Lillie Avenue in Summerland.
Deputy Van Winkle was dispatched to the business due to a tripped burglary alarm. He found the front door window shattered, and he located a rock near the front door.
The 44-year-old female business owner reported one $5 bill and four $1 bills missing from a donation box just inside the front door.
The business owner reported nothing else stolen.
