Westmont Reynolds Gallery

Building Green

Montecito resident Kevin Contreras, showcases innovative ways to build environmentally friendly homes in his new KCET TV series, “Building Green.” He introduces simple products and techniques you can use to create a more energy-efficient home environment. Throughout the course of the series, Contreras and his team chronicle the building of a new “straw house”, detailing simple ways to make new homes more environmentally savvy. From easy weekend projects to complete home building, Contreras covers all aspects of how to make your home greener.

Classical Connection

Westmont’s Wind Ensemble Concert consists of a 20-member ensemble, including flute quartet and Westmont College’s new woodwind octet. Throughout evening, and under the direction of adjunct professor of music Paul Mori, ensemble concert performs a Franz Krommer Octet-Partita, Darius Milhaud’s “The Chimney of King Rene” and pieces by Bach and Ravel, performed by the flute quartet. The Wind Ensemble also performs James Curnow’s “Rejouissance: Fantasia on Ein Fest Burg.”
