Adopt a Pet
By Karen Lee Stevens
MEET GUS GUS
”Gus Gus is one of the friendliest rabbits at the shelter right now,” gushes Lesley Fagan, a volunteer at BUNS (Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter) in Santa Barbara. This handsome boy is a young adult (about 1-2 years old), neutered and litter box-trained.
If you have been thinking of adding a quiet, cuddly pet to your household, visit BUNS to meet Gus Gus or any of the many other bunnies available for adoption. BUNS is located at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter, 5473 Overpass Road, off Patterson Avenue. Stop by or call 683-0521.

This year's Bunny Festival, on September 17, is sure to have you and your bunny hopping for joy! Meet adoptable rabbits, talk to a veterinarian or have an animal communicator talk to your bunny, marvel at the Bunny Olympics, relax at Spa Bunne, shop at the Silent Auction, or snack at the Carrot Cafe. The Festival takes place from noon to 4 pm at the Courthouse Sunken Gardens, 1100 Anacapa Street. For more information, call BUNS at 683-0521 or visit www.bunssb.org.
