Santa Barbara Public Library System, in conjunction with the Montecito branch, hosts summer reading program for children to encourage them to read while school is out. Prizes for children who read during the summer are handed out periodically. Kids also enjoy hands on demonstrations, science projects and guest lecturers. Topics include:
