Serafina, children and babies boutique, hosts storybook time for toddlers and young children. Music Academy of the West 2006 Summer Music Festival begins officially this evening with concert honoring longtime faculty member Jerome Lowenthal. Three noted alumni, former students of Lowenthal, Alpin Hong, Konstantin Soukhovtski and Orion Weiss, perform at tonight’s celebration. Come early (7:15 pm) for pre-concert champagne toast.

Fire Chief Ron McClain is honored as Grand Marshal and Emma Steinkellner kicks things off by leading the parade.
